Three Men Accused Of Selling Cocaine, Suboxone, Prescription Pills In Atlantic City: Police

Three Atlantic City men were accused of selling cocaine, suboxone, and prescription pills, authorities said.

Atlantic City police arrested 60-year-old Ricky Bailey, 37-year-old Floyd Spencer, and 22-year-old Christian Mateo, the department said in a news release on Thursday, June 27. The men were taken into custody by the department's special investigations section in two separate incidents on Tuesday, June 25.

Bailey was arrested on the 1800 block of Hummock Avenue after officers saw him making a drug deal. The other two men were taken into custody on the first block of South Florida Avenue and Mateo was found with a knife after trying to run away from police.

Officers seized 34 vials of cocaine, 193 wax folds, prescription pills, and suboxone. They also recovered about $3,000 in cash and a vehicle.

Bailey was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, loitering to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, money laundering, and possession of suboxone.

Spencer was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

Mateo was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, unlawful possession of a weapon while committing a controlled dangerous substance offense, money laundering, and obstruction of justice.

The three men were held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office helped in the investigations.
